Of all the things we have done this year I believe using flash and other macromedia programs were the most useful and important. We learned alot from those programs and we still can learn alot from them.

Theres nothing I really would want to learn about computers at this point because I am not so sure whatelse there is to learn, besides the boring stuff like script langauges.

Summary:

The article "More video games, fewer books at school?" is about a solution to the problem with children having trouble staying focused in school. The article states that there should be educational video games for students to play to learn many lessons. Many people believe this would help students be more attentive in class and want to learn. Many game developers have looked into this and have created lots of games to teach life lessons, lessons which cannot learn from a class assigned book. These developers believe the games can help inspire the kids to learn. Many people don't believe the games are a good teaching method, they rather have the tradition methods be in place.

My Reaction:

I believe video games in school could help kids want to learn. I think they should introduce the kids to the educational video games at a later grade, such as middle school. This would ensure the students wouldn't get spoiled at an early age and maybe the elemetary students would be excited to go to middle school.

Question: What is one way schools can focus on learning more?

Answer: Learning isn't the problem, I believe it is the way kids don't give enough effort in class. It is a students responsibility to want to learn and to be more active in a classroom even if the subject taught isn't in the students best interests. Therefore, the schools are not the problem, the kids are.
